WHY DO PETROL COME IN DIFFERENT COLOURS, DOES THE COLOUR MATTER ?

Reason for this name is because theybelong to family of spirits like your alcohol and other volatile solvents. Petrol can come in different colors because of the type of additives used in refining it and there are reasons for that. Some of the reasons are: 1. EASE OF IDENTIFICATION : We have about 3 popular categories of petrol, they are: i) PREMIUN = this one is a high grade and normally comes in pink/ wine red colour. ii) REGULAR = this one is normally greenish in colour. iii) The Mid grade, this one is in between the premium and the regular. The best grade of petrol suppose be the Premium and thats why they named petrol Premium Motor Spirit but its unfortunate we hardly see this grade in this country because they prefer importing the lower grades because they are cheaper. 2. Stop Ignoring Check Engine Light!

------ AUTOMOBILE 101------ >>> FLASHING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT <<< Check engine light is an alarm notifying you that something is wrong with your vehicle. Every vehicle is made up of thousands of components, once anything goes wrong with any of those components the check engine light will appear on your dashboard immediately.  When this happens the one and ONLY way to know what the problem is or what the alarm is warning you of is to scan the car. When you scan, find and fix the fault the alarm will dissapear immediately.  There are more serious cases when the check engine light will start blinking.  Once you notice this, what it means is that you've got MORE SERIOUS fault. Wrong Parking system that can damage your car.

Its no longer news that gear problem is on the increase now. Most of them are caused by negligence while majority is caused by wrong use and parking of vehicles. Most car owners up to 80% in this country dont have functional hand brakes/ park brakes. Most of them think once you park and engage the 'P' the vehicle has been locked from moving. No,doing this without the hand brake on is puting so much pressure on the PARKING PAWL of the gear. Parking Pawl is a device like pin that locks the transmission output shaft of the transmission and drive wheels of the vehicle from moving. If a vehicle rolls some inches front or backwards freely after shifting into "P" then your parking pawl is broken or badly worn out. Parking on a sloppy surface without engaging the hand brake puts excessive stress on the transmission and that is very dangerous to the gear. I've treated this topic so many times but same question keep coming.  To make this simple, this alarm.is to notify you that your engine is due for oil change. But bear in mind the ECU of your car is not intelligent like human brain to know you just changed oil. This is OIL LIFE that work with mileage counter working hand in hand with your odometer and once the vehicle have covered some kilometers/miles the alarm pops up to imform you that the vehicle now need oil change since it have covered the required distance. This duration is dependent on the car make and the manufacturer. Vehicles like German machines have longer counts while vehicles like Japanese have shorter count.
